Neil Robertson is Chair of Molecular Materials in the School of Chemistry, University of Edinburgh, with around 20 years experience working in functional molecular materials for electronic applications. Much recent research focus has been on new materials for photovoltaics. He has acted as Director of the Scottish Institute for Solar Energy Research, Deputy Direction of the Supergen Excitonic Solar Cells Consortium and is currently Energy Technology Partnership theme leader for Solar. As well as involvement in UK Supergen projects, he has collaborated extensively with international groups, including in India as part of the EPSRC APEX project, in Taiwan, China and Japan.
